His nibs

Larkspur Landing is a Bay area chain of pet friendly hotels. Quite a nice chain, actually. Great (though fairly compact) rooms with refrigerator, microwave, stove, dishwasher. Very nice linens. A comfy bed.

AND they give dogs their own plush bed and bowls. Riley has taken to his hotel bed quite well, as you can see. In fact, he likes it better than his own beds, which are deep and not high.

Apparently, the little prince likes to be perched higher. So we're going to buy the bed.

Riley has been very adaptable this trip. He really enjoys the road, lulled to sleep by the rhythm of wheels on asphalt.

This morning, we'll introduce him to his new house.
